We've made a few different Star Wars related games for you to play at your next party, but you're like Emeril and want to take it up another notch "BAM!" Now it's time to provide you with the ultimate comprehensive guide to hosting your next Star Wars themed party. Ideas here are good for kids or adults.

Drink Ideas
If you're hosting the Killer at the Cantina Murder Mystery Party then you definitely have to be able to make some Star Wars style drinks. A good Cantina owner is always going to know how to serve up a beverage. Even if you're just putting together your child's birthday party and want to have a good time, some colorful drinks are going to make it more memorable.
1. Bantha Milk
Unless you were paying attention you may have missed the short clip where this blue milk is being poured up on the Lars homestead in the beginning of Episode IV: A New Hope. Not to worry though, you can make some yourself. It's really the Star Wars version of regular milk, but produced by Bantha's instead of Cows (which makes us wonder if there is a corellation between how hairy banthas are and that their milk is blue... the world may never know).
2. Yoda Soda from hi Cookery
The duo of Highlander and Islander over at hi Cookery made a nice little Yoda themed drink out of a lime sherbert float. I'm thinking this could be good for dessert or maybe to star things off.... Drink or drink not, there is no wrong way to do this one.
3. Darth Vader Drink
Pure and simple this one is a Roy Rogers renamed. I.e. Coke (Pepsi if you prefer) and Grenadine. Basically a homemade version of Cherry Coke. Easy enough to make for anyone with soda around the house already. Pour coke in a glass and add grenadine to taste.
4.Collection of 47 Star Wars Themed Cocktails
Although I would like to pick out more specifics from this page to recommend, it might take us a while to mix them all. There's almost 50 star wars themed cocktails to be found on this idrink.com page. If you master them all we might be obligated to make you a pretend Cantina Master Mixologist certificate.

5. Tatooine Sunrise
Here's an officially sanctioned recipe from the people over at starwars.com, thanks LucasFilms for a delicious drink. It might look a bit famliar since it's really a Tequila Sunrise, without the tequila.
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 1/4 cup of grenadine (depends on glass size)
Fill a tall glass with ice and orange juice. Slowly pour in the grenadine and let it sink the bottom of the glass.
If you're into a little bit of an education lesson (or want an activity to do with the kids or as an adult, no judgement, it's pretty cool) check out this page on why some liquids won't dissolve into others and how different densities allow liquids to stack in layers. Yeah, it's not really Star Wars themed per se, but it's still cool and now relevant because of our Tatooine Sunrise.
Food Ideas
Appetizers, main dishes, desserts. They all go in here.
1. Lightsaber Pretzels, Cloud City Pops, Princess Leia Cupcakes, Han Solo Carbonite Jello and more from JustJennRecipes.
When we first started searching for Star Wars food we began delving down the rabbit hole of internet links from one place to another. Finally, we found the source of a collection of Star Wars themed foods for your party. Basically everything you need from appetizers to main dishes already culminated together by Jenn over at JustJennRecipes. Jenn, might I say "You're killing it" (in a good way). Although there will be more food ideas below; this one post from Jenn is just about a one stop shop for all your food needs.
2. Han Solo in Carbonite Peanut Butter Cups
Did I ever mention how much I love peanut butter? It's just so delicious. Now Jabba's revenge tastes even more delicious with a chocolate carbonite han solo with a gooey peanut butter center. Admittedly you do have to have the Han Solo Silicone Ice Cube Tray for this one, but it may just be worth it.

3. Death Star Pumpkin or Watermelon Centerpiece
I've seen it done in both watermelon and pumpkin form. If you're looking for pretty to look at, but not necesarilly to eat then the pumpkin is the way to go in my book. Especially because you can light it up. If you want your rebel forces to conquer your death star centerpiece with delicious bites of x-wing fighting justice then go watermelon.
We didn't find anything straight away on carving the death star into a watermelon but there's this great tutorial on carving the pumpkin version from Fantasy Pumpkins.
4. Darth Vader Sausage Rolls
Oh man. Evil never looked so flaky and delicious. Maybe that's the redemptive part of Vader coming out here. Mama Max over at mamawithideas.com decided enough was enough with making cookies from her Star Wars cookie cutters and man am I ever so glad she made that call. Don't get me wrong, I love sweets, but this meat filled pastry Vader is calling my name.
Game and Activity Ideas
This section is a little more our speed. We've also found a few cool things off-site as well.
1. Break the Ice with Who am I? Star Wars Edition
The classic game of "Who am I?" Each person is assigned a character that is placed on their back. They can then only ask yes or no questions to figure out what character they have. Probably the #1 easiest game to get people talking at the beginning of a party.
2. Star Wars Murder Mystery Dinner Party - Killer at the Cantina
It took about a week to get the very first version of this game all sorted out and ready for open beta testing. As more people play and send us feedback we'll be tweaking the game for an ever better experience for the next round of players. It's made for 8 people (you and 7 friends) and all the characters are gender neutral so it can be a party of entirely men, entirely women or mixed company and the character assignments won't be affected. 'Cause really, who likes being told who they have to invite to their party? Nobody, that's who.
Set in the Outer Rim on the lonely ice planet of Hoth, it's you and your friend's job to figure out who is the murderer among you at the only Cantina around.
3. Death Star Pinata by Lizz at Am I a Funny Girl blog.
Yes, time to the destroy the death star. This time instead of chunks of hazardous space debris you'll receive candy. We might have to keep this idea away from George or he may go back and edit it into the original films... just kidding George we love you. But seriously, keep the candy at the party and out the films. Lizz over at her blog "Am I a Funny Girl" gives a nice walkthrough on how to make this pinata. A pretty easy DIY project for those that don't mind a little paper mache.
Want to Make Your Own Printables (invitations, signs, etc.)?
One of the easiest things to do to customize your party is to make those little labels that go with the food, custom invitations, etc. But where the heck do you get the star wars font? Well, we use the font called SF Distant Galaxy and you can find it over at dafonts.com. It comes with both the outlined style fonts and the solid color style so you can choose which you'd like to use for your printables.
